Lord, I am another year older.

I do not know how I feel about that yet. Some years it is easy. Some years it is heavier than I expected.

Thank You for the year I just walked through. The good. The hard. The parts I would not repeat if You offered. The parts I would.

Show me what to put down before I carry it into the new year. The grudge that does not serve me. The fear that has outlived its usefulness. The version of me I have been holding onto that no longer fits.

Show me what to pick up. The relationship I have been avoiding. The habit I keep almost starting. The hope I do not let myself say out loud.

Teach me to number my days. Not to count them anxiously. To weigh them honestly. So that whatever comes, this next year is fuller, slower, truer.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
