God of the morning, I am standing at the edge.

My hands are sweaty on the wheel. My phone buzzes with names I don't know yet. My stomach is tight like a new boot.

I am not asking You to make it easy. I am asking You to be here in the not knowing.

Steady my step. Loosen my grip. Remind me You were in the dark before the trumpet blew.

You see the tremor in my voice. You know the fear that hides behind my smile. Help me stand anyway, even if I shake.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
