God of mercy I sit in this hard plastic chair. The air smells like old carpet and coffee. My hands are folded but my heart is not still.

Thank You for the breath I'm taking right now. Thank You for the quiet moment before they call my name. Thank You for not leaving me here alone.

Steady my pulse. Loosen my jaw. Remind me that justice is not mine to carry.

You see the fear I'm trying not to name. You know the weight I've been lugging since yesterday. Help me sit with this, not fix it.
