God who is near, I am tired of fighting this body.

I have counted pills. I have watched ceilings. I have whispered questions into pillows.

I do not ask You to take this away — not yet. I ask You to be here in the ache.

Steady my breath when it catches. Loosen the grip of fear. Remind me I am not alone in this bed.

You see the weight I carry. You know the nights I cannot name. Stay close, even when I forget to look for You.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
