Father, this friendship is unraveling and I am not sure either of us has the energy to fix it.

Something shifted. I cannot pinpoint when. The texts got shorter. The calls stopped happening. The catch-up coffees got rescheduled until they did not exist anymore.

I miss who we were to each other.

Show me whether to fight for this or to release it with grace. Show me if there is one more honest conversation that could rebuild it, or if it has already been rebuilt as something quieter and that is okay.

Heal whatever is between us, even if we never speak about it. Keep me from talking about them in ways I would not want them to hear.

What was real, was real. Let it stay real, even if it does not stay close.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
