Father, You answered. I am still figuring out how to receive it.
I had a version of this in my head. You did not write that version. You wrote a different one.
It is not bad. It is just not what I asked for.
Help me read this answer the way I would read a love letter, not a rejection. You are not withholding. You are seeing further than I am.
Take the small grief of the version that did not happen. Open my hands for the version You are giving me instead.
I do not have to like it on day one. I have to trust it.
If I am wrong about what I was asking for, You are not wrong about what You are providing. Teach me the difference.
