Father, I am going to say it out loud because I am tired of pretending I'm not asking it.

What if You aren't there? What if the things I have built my life on are not what I think they are?

I am not walking away. I am asking. There is a difference.

I do not need You to be a feeling. I need You to be true.

Meet me where the doubt is. Not where my Sunday answers want me to be. Down here, in the actual question, with the actual fear.

I believe. Help my unbelief. The man said it two thousand years ago and it is still the only honest prayer some of us have.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
