Father, I am afraid for my kids.

Not in a small way. In a wake-up-at-three way. The world they are walking into is louder, faster, lonelier, more confused than the one I knew at their age.

I cannot keep them safe from all of it. I know that. I hate that, but I know it.

Be ahead of them where I cannot be. Be in the room when I am not. Be the still small voice when the algorithm is screaming.

If I cannot wall the world off, make me the parent who builds something better inside our walls. The voice they hear when they're alone. The kind they want to come home to.

Hold what I cannot hold. Carry what I cannot carry. Keep them.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
