Lord, I am lonely. There is no one missing. The room is full. The phone has notifications.

But none of them know.

Not the surface me. The actual one. The one underneath the answers I give when people ask how I'm doing.

You know that one. You have known him longer than I have.

Sit with the part of me no one in this room can see. Be company to the version of me I have stopped showing.

I am not asking You to fix the loneliness. I am asking You to make it less lonely while it stays.

Until someone shows up who can see what You see, You are the witness. That is enough for tonight.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
